Golden Magnolia Kimono
The golden magnolia jacket is made from a Maru obi belt with a wave pattern and is a contemporary spin on the classic kimono cut.
The Maru obi is the most formal kimono obi and is traditionally worn by brides, Geisha and Maiko, apprentice Geisha.
Over the centuries, the wave pattern - representing the ocean - has come to signify power and resilience and is symbolic of good luck. In Japan, it is believed that a kimono with the wave pattern attracts good fortune brought by the sea.
This magnolia jacket is a modern take on a much treasured historical garment. Style it with cropped jeans and sculptural jewellery.
